Admiral Jack's Mini-Quest wurde im Laufe des Publish 107, auch genannt "Jolly Roger", and die Oberfläche geschwemmt.

Town Cryer

"The Town Cryer has received reports that Admiral Jack, facing almost certain defeat at the hands of the Royal Britannian Navy, has shipwrecked somewhere north of Moonglow. While the Town Cryer cannot independently confirm these reports, several expeditions have launched in search of Jack and his crew.

Jack became the admiral of a large armada of ships following the demise of former Guild leader Hook. Previously, Jack was renowned for his skills in necromancy and known for his fondness of pumpkins. The self-proclaimed "Pumpkin King" became known to Britannians in years past when he sequestered himself inside the Sorcerer's Dungeon in Ilshenar, binding the inhabitants to his will. Only recently did Jack take to the High Seas, using his magics to command an armada of pumpkin ships and crew. With his apparent demise, the fate of that crew and those ships can only be left to the imagination.

The news of Admiral Jack's tumultuous end comes on the heels of a peculiar report from the monks at the Hall of Virtue in Britain. Almost overnight, strange runes have appeared atop the Virtue pedestals there. When pressed for details, the monks offered little insight, but assured The Town Cryer that investigations into their origin and purpose are ongoing. The monks further stated that there appears to be no threat to the public, but as history has shown us - Britannians should exercise caution in uncertain and troubling times."

Im Text werden zwei Orte genannte: Jack soll nördlich von Moonglow irgendwo gestrandet sein, und die Mönche der Hall of Virtue in Britain haben auch Probleme gekriegt – es sollen komische Runen erschienden sein.

Nun kümmert man sich aber erstmal um Admiral Jack. Was liegt nördlich von Moonglow? Richtig, die "Eisinsel" (Dagger Isle), wo auch das Dungeon Deceit und der Honesty Schrein liegt. Dort findet man schlussendlich auch das Wrack, welches ziemlich genau östlich vom Schrein, an der Küste, liegt (Koordinaten: 4265, 573).

Das Schiffswrack

Wer vom Schrein kommt, läuft erstmal Richtung Norden, um dann nach Südosten der Küste entlangzulaufen. Daraufhin trifft man ziemlich bald auf das Schiffswrack. Es ist gefroren und die Besatzung scheint auch ziemlich schockgefroren zu sein – inklusive Admiral Jack. Erkennbar ist er deutlich an seinem Pumpkin-Kopf. Wer näher zu ihm geht, erkennt im Schnee ein fast unsichtbares weisses Buch. Wer es lesen will, scheitert:

"You attempt to read the journal but the characters are jumbled in your field of vision. Now your head hurts. "

Man kriegt also Kopfweh beim Lesen? Das muss daran liegen, dass man etwas Hilfe benötigt. Wer die letzte Mini-Quest erledigt hat, erinnert sich vielleicht an das Fellowship Medallion? Legt man es an, kann man nun plötzlich das Buch entziffern:

"My inner voice guided me but has fallen silent... and to that end I have failed my purpose. We set sail for Iver's Rounding West of Skara Brae... I fear the end has come though, we are far off course and provisions are low and the weather has turned. The Love I had is my only Truth now. All that is left is Courage. When will my inner voice return?*
